KATHMANDU, April 10: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate for one US dollar fixed at Rs 138.41 and the selling rate at Rs 139.01. The rate has seen an appreciation from the previous day. On Wednesday, the buying rate for one US dollar was Rs 137.73, and the selling rate was Rs 138.33.
Similarly, the euro is being traded at Rs 152.89 for buying and Rs 153.56 for selling. The buying rate for one European euro was Rs 150.62, and the selling rate was Rs 151.28 yesterday.
The UK pound sterling stands at Rs 177.38 for buying and Rs 178.15 for selling. The Swiss franc is valued at Rs 164.89 for buying and Rs 165.61 for selling.
Value of US Dollar, Riyals, Dirhams rise, Euro, Pound, Yen fall

The central bank has set the buying and selling rates of the Australian dollar at Rs 83.09 and Rs 83.45 respectively, while the Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 97.45 for buying and Rs 97.87 for selling. The Singapore dollar's buying rate stands at Rs 102.63, with the selling rate at Rs 103.08. Likewise, 10 Japanese yen are being exchanged at Rs 9.56 for buying and Rs 9.60 for selling.
The exchange rate for one Chinese yuan is set at Rs 18.83 for buying and Rs 18.91 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being traded at Rs 36.87 for buying and Rs 37.03 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 37.97 and Rs 38.13, respectively. The Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.00 for buying and Rs 4.02 for selling. The UAE dirham is being traded at Rs 37.68 for buying and Rs 37.85 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 30.79 for buying and Rs 30.92 for selling.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the South Korean won (per 100 units) is being exchanged at Rs 9.35 for buying and Rs 9.39 for selling. The Swedish krona stands at Rs 13.86 for buying and Rs 13.92 for selling, and the Danish krone at Rs 20.47 and Rs 20.56, respectively. The Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.85 for buying and Rs 17.92 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar remains one of the highest valued currencies, with its buying rate at Rs 450.19 and selling rate at Rs 452.14. The Bahraini dinar is being exchanged at Rs 367.12 for buying and Rs 368.71 for selling, while the Omani riyal is fixed at Rs 359.50 for buying and Rs 361.06 for selling.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it may revise the rates as needed at any time. It has also been noted that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest rates can be accessed through the central bank's official website.
