KATHMANDU, April 21: US Vice President JD Vance reached India on Monday as part of his first official visit. He landed at Palam Airport in New Delhi.
Vance is visiting India for a four-day trip with his family. His wife, Usha Vance, is of Indian origin. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw welcomed him at the airport.

Later the same day, Vance, along with his family, visited the Akshardham Temple. This evening at 6:30 pm, he will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During their meeting, they are expected to discuss topics such as economic assistance, defense cooperation, and bilateral trade. Many are also focusing on the recent taxes imposed on India and other countries during this visit.
From Delhi, Vance will travel to Jaipur and Agra with his family. He will return to the United States on Thursday.
