KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Two US nationals who escaped from prison during the September 9 mass jailbreak amid the Gen Z movement have been recaptured in Kathmandu.
The fugitives have been identified as Michael Norman Taylor, 70, convicted of child sexual abuse by the Kaski District Court, and Johnson Lloyd Modai, 40, convicted of rape by the Kathmandu District Court. Taylor had been serving his sentence in Pokhara District Prison, while Modai was incarcerated in Central Jail, Kathmandu.
Two Frenchmen arrested over pedophilia charges

A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested the duo in Maharajgunj on Monday. CIB spokesperson DSP Dharma Raj Bhandari said the two are being processed and will be returned to their respective prisons.
During the September 9 jailbreak, more than 14,500 inmates escaped from prisons nationwide. A significant number of them remain at large.
