US dollar rate rises: What are values of other currencies?

According to the central bank, the value of the US dollar has increased.

KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Tuesday). According to the central bank, the value of the US dollar has increased. The buying rate for one US dollar for today is Rs 137.28, and the selling rate is Rs 137.88, whereas the buying rate was Rs 136.99, and the selling rate was Rs 137.59, indicating a slight increase on Monday.



The euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 160.56 and a selling rate of Rs 161.26. The British pound stands at Rs 185.15 for buying and Rs 185.96 for selling, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 172.41 for buying and Rs 173.16 for selling.


The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 90.19 and a selling rate of Rs 90.59. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 100.42 for buying and Rs 100.86 for selling. The Singapore dollar is being traded at Rs 107.20 (buying) and Rs 107.67 (selling).

Among Asian currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) is traded at Rs 9.32 for buying and Rs 9.36 for selling. The Chinese yuan is Rs 19.15 for buying and Rs 19.24 for selling. The Saudi riyal’s buying rate is Rs 36.60 and selling rate is NPR 36.76, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 37.67 for buying and Rs 37.83 for selling.


The Thai baht is traded at Rs 4.24 (buying) and Rs 4.26 (selling), and the UAE dirham at Rs 37.37 (buying) and NPR 37.54 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 32.28 for buying and Rs 32.42 for selling. The South Korean Won (per 100 units) is Rs 9.94 for buying and Rs 9.99 for selling.


In the Scandinavian region, the Swedish krona is priced at Rs 14.32 (buying) and Rs 14.39 (selling), while the Danish krone is Rs 21.52 (buying) and Rs 21.61 (selling). The Hong Kong dollar is being traded at Rs 17.49 for buying and Rs 17.56 for selling.


The Kuwaiti dinar remains the highest-valued currency in this list, with a buying rate of Rs 449.45 and a selling rate of Rs 451.41. The Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 364.15 (buying) and NPR 365.74 (selling), while the Omani rial stands at Rs 356.59 (buying) and Rs 358.15 (selling).


The Indian rupee (per 100 units) is priced at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. The Rs has stated that it may revise these rates at any time if necessary, and the rates set by commercial banks may differ. The updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
