KATHMANDU, April 5: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has announced protest rallies across the country on April 7, demanding an investigation into the vandalism and arson that occurred during a protest in Tinkune.
The party aims to exert pressure for a fair investigation into the incident and legal action against those responsible. Prakash Jwala, the head of the central publicity department, stated that committees under the party will organize protests at the municipal, ward, provincial, and regional levels.

The party has formed a task force, led by Central Deputy General Secretary Ram Kumar Bhattarai, to collect details of the damage caused to the party during the incident. The party will also hold political gatherings across the country to inform the public about the latest political developments, international circumstances, and to protect the federal democratic republic, focusing on good governance, employment, prosperity, and other key issues.
The party has developed programs to strengthen the organization, study the state of economic and social justice for the people, and address poverty eradication, good governance, and livelihoods. It aims to expose the distortions hidden under political cover in the country.
The party's relevant committees will publicly engage with stakeholders and incorporate their suggestions to refine the socialist programs the party has adopted.
To ensure political stability, the party will integrate public suggestions on electoral system reforms and the implementation of socialist programs for the economic and social transformation of the people. The party's campaign, which began on March 15, will continue until May 4.
