UK national found dead in Kailali

KATHMANDU, April 18: A foreign national has been found dead in Kailali district.



According to police, 65-year-old Stephen Gore from England was found dead on Thursday night in Nomabhoji, Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-4.


According to the Kailali District Police Office, Gore had been staying at the house of a local resident, Man Bahadur Malla, since last Kartik (mid-October to mid-November). He was found dead in his room at around 9:30 PM on Thursday.

According to police, Gore had locked the door from the inside before going to sleep. When the door remained closed for a long time, 


Chitra Kumari Bam, who is of Nepali origin and a resident of Tamil Nadu, India, and had been living at the same place, opened the door to check on him. She found him dead inside the room.


Police stated that after completing the investigation at the scene, the body will be sent for a post-mortem examination and then the process will begin to repatriate the body to his home country.


Both had come to Nepal on tourist visas for travel and had been living in separate rented houses in Bardagoriya-4.


The incident is currently under further investigation, police added.
