KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Two military aircraft—a Sky Truck and an air ambulance—donated by the US government to the Nepali Army, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday.
Confirming the arrival, Nepali Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Raja Ram Basnet said, “These two airplanes, well-suited for our geographical terrain, will greatly support rescue and service operations.”

The US Embassy is expected to officially hand over the aircraft to the Nepali Army later this month.
According to the Army, the Sky Truck will be used for disaster management, including rescue and relief operations, while the air ambulance will assist in evacuating pregnant women, injured individuals, and patients during emergencies and natural disasters.
