Two teenage sisters missing from Chitwan

The missing girls have been identified as 16-year-old Rina Thapa and her 13-year-old sister, Roshni BK, daughters of the same family, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Govinda Puri at Chitwan District Police Office.

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Two teenage sisters from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, Nahar Chowk, Chitwan, have gone missing, police confirmed on Wednesday.



The missing girls have been identified as 16-year-old Rina Thapa and her 13-year-old sister, Roshni BK, daughters of the same family, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Govinda Puri at Chitwan District Police Office.

Their family reported them missing on Tuesday morning after they left home saying they were traveling to Sindhupalchok, but they have since lost contact. Their last known phone location showed Kathmandu, prompting coordination between Chitwan and Kathmandu police for the search.


Originally from Indrawati Rural Municipality-7 in Sindhupalchok, the sisters have not been traced yet.


The family has urged anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or call 9818345302 / 9810321767.
