Two killed, two injured after bus hits auto in Kapilvastu

The bus with the registration number Ga 1 Kha 9013, which was en route east from the west, struck the auto (Lu 1 Ha 4154) while crossing the road at around 8:30 PM on Sunday, police said.

KAPILVASTU, July 28: Two of the four people who sustained serious injuries after a bus hit an auto-rickshaw at Umari in Shiwraj Municipality-1, Kapilvastu, have died.



The bus with the registration number Ga 1 Kha 9013, which was en route east from the west, struck the auto (Lu 1 Ha 4154) while crossing the road at around 8:30 PM on Sunday, police said.

According to Police Inspector Sujan Sah of the Chandrauta Area Police Office, 50-year-old Rit Bahadur Sunar of Umari and 18-year-old Rabina Rana of Baluwa, Shiwraj Municipality-3, died during treatment at City Hospital in Bhairahawa.


The other two injured—Pabitra Sunar of Umari and 18-year-old Shakti Bhandari, a native of Pyuthan currently residing in Baluwa—are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.


Both the bus and the auto drivers are in police custody.
