Truck transporters urged not to transport looted and stolen goods

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: The Federation of Truck Transport Entrepreneurs Nepal (FTTEN) has instructed its member businesses not to transport looted and stolen goods during the recent Gen Z protests.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the FTTEN has stated that there is a possibility that weapons and other materials stolen during the arson, vandalism and looting of various offices and shops during the protests on September 8 and 9 may be transported by using heavy vehicles.


Stating that illegal transportation of looted goods may lead to legal obligations, the FTTEN has urged all member organizations to be vigilant and not to transport such goods.
