KATHMANDU, May 31: Public transport operators announced a protest against the government’s policy.
The agitating transport entrepreneurs on Saturday blocked traffic in the main lanes on Ring Road and Bhaktapur Road from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. They plan to stage a protest at Maiti Ghar on June 1.

While accusing the government of violating the Vehicle Act 2049 BS by allowing private vehicles to operate on black plates for hire, the committee objected to the government policy. They also threatened to launch a nationwide strike starting on June 2.
