KATHMANDU, July 10: Three accused who had been absconding in connection with the Tinkune pro-monarch protest, which turned violent on March 28, appeared in court on Wednesday.
The District Court Kathmandu sent one of them to judicial custody for investigation while ordering the release of the other two on bail.
According to District Court spokesperson Deepak Kumar Shrestha, a single bench of Judge Bal Krishna Wagle ordered that Satish Neupane, who had been on the run for a long time, be sent to Dillibazar prison for judicial custody. Neupane was immediately transferred to jail as per the order.
Three fugitives arrested

The two other accused, Binanjay Thapa and Rajendra GC, who also appeared in court on Wednesday, were released on bail of NPR 15,000 each.
They were charged with sedition, criminal disturbance, and organized crime.
The protest led by Durga Prasain on March 28 called for the restoration of the monarchy. It turned violent, resulting in the death of two persons, injuries to several people, destruction of public and private property, and incidents of arson.
During the clashes, journalist Suresh Rajak died in a fire, while protester Sabin Maharjan died after police opened fire on protesters.
The District Government Attorney's Office has filed cases against 65 individuals, including senior Rastriya Prajatantra Party Vice President Rabindra Mishra and Member of Parliament Dhawal Shamsher Rana, for their alleged involvement.
Previously, the court had sent Durga Prasain and six others, considered the main accused, to judicial custody. Mishra and Rana, however, appeared in court and were released on bail.
