KATHMANDU, June 26: The Kathmandu District Court (KDC) has ordered the release of TikToker Rama Basnet on bail of Rs 30,000.
The order was issued by a single bench of Judge Bishnu Prasad Upadhyay, according to KDC Information Officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha.

Basnet, 31, was arrested by the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police on charges of violating the Electronic Transactions Act. She was accused of making statements against the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
Her arrest followed a request from the Ministry of Home Affairs for an investigation. The police, however, have kept the identity of the complainant confidential.
