KATHMANDU, May 25: Western and local winds currently influence the country, along with partial moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DHM) forecasts partly to generally cloudy skies over the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other areas will mostly see clear to partly cloudy conditions.
Places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with one or two locations elsewhere, may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning this afternoon. Light rain or snowfall could occur in one or two high mountainous locations.
Thunderstorms forecast till Thursday
The mountainous region may see light rain mixed with snowfall in one or two spots. Thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall will affect one or two places across all seven provinces. These weather conditions could disrupt daily life, agriculture, health, road, and air transport. The DHM urges everyone to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
