RUKUM WEST, July 1: A three-year-old boy died after being crushed by a jeep in Banphikot Rural Municipality-5 of Rukum West.
The incident occurred when a jeep, returning to Banphikot from Badgaun, Banphikot-5, after arriving from the district headquarters, Musikot Khalanga, ran over the child.

According to the Inspector and Information Officer for District Police Office (DPO), Rukum, Rishi Pathak, the boy—identified as Sibang Pun of Badgaun—died after being crushed under a parked jeep (Ra 1 Ja 812) as the driver attempted to move it.
Police have taken the driver, 22-year-old Bishal BK of Banphikot-4, into custody.
A police team led by Inspector Hari Prasad Pun has been deployed from the DPO, Rukum, for further investigation at the scene, the office stated.
