MORANG, Sept 21: Three people of a family drowned in a fish pond in Morang on Sunday.
The deceased are a mother and her two daughters from Gramthan-4 who drowned in the fish pond located on Baba Banskhandi Temple premises, according to the chairman of Gramthan Rural Municipality, Narayan Majhi.

The deceased have been identified as Sita Adhikari in her early thirties and her daughters —Pabitra Adhikari, 13, and Kriti Adhikari, 9.
“The incident seems to have happened either while feeding fish in the pond or bathing as they were working there,”said Chairman Majhi.
The dead bodies were taken to the Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital on Sunday evening for postmortem.
