KATHMANDU, Sep 23: The government has transferred Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Dawadi.
According to sources, the government has appointed Rameshwar Dangal, who served as Defense Secretary, as Home Secretary. Duwadi has been transferred to the National planning commission.

Similarly, Secretary at National Planning Commission Suman Raj Aryal has been transferred as Defence Secretary.
The transfers were made in the most recent cabinet meeting.
There has been widespread criticism over country’s defence system to ‘mis-calculate’ the September 8-9 Gen Z protest which led to death of 74 deaths.
