LALITPUR, July 19: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has stressed the need to thoroughly review the implementation of federalism.
Speaking at a programme organized by the Nepal Democratic Federation of Indigenous Nationalities in Sanepa, Lalitpur on Friday, Thapa called for evaluating both the achievements and shortcomings in the enforcement of federalism in a comprehensive way.

He also stressed the need to make both federal and provincial parliaments more inclusive and called for reforms in the electoral system. Thapa added that indigenous nationalities are among the most affected by the impacts of climate change and said this issue should be a key agenda for their communities.
Meanwhile, NC Joint General Secretary Bhishmaraj Aangdembe called on indigenous nationalities to unite further in the fight for their rights.
