Tarun Dal’s general convention to be held in December

KATHMANDU, July 3: The Central Working Committee (CWC) of the Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold the long-overdue general convention of its youth wing, Nepal Tarun Dal, from December 12 to14. 



NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel told Republica that the decision was made during a meeting of the party’s CWC meeting held in Sanepa on Wednesday.

The party had earlier formed an ad hoc committee under the leadership of Bidhwan Gurung to organize the convention, but despite multiple deadlines, it had failed to do so.


As per the recommendation of the Tarun Dal Convention Directive Committee, the central committee has now fixed the date for the convection.

The general convention of Tarun Dal has been delayed for years.
