Suspension bridge built for Rs 23.1 million

A 366-meter-long suspension bridge costing Rs 23.13 million has been constructed over the Dar River, connecting Phaliya village and Dar in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality–3.

MYAGDI, July 3: A 366-meter-long suspension bridge costing Rs 23.13 million has been constructed over the Dar River, connecting Phaliya village and Dar in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality–3.



The bridge was built by the Local Infrastructure Development Project based in Pokhara. With its completion, it has become easier for tourists trekking along the Dhaulagiri Circuit Trail.

Additionally, residents of Dar, Mudi, Khibang, Nerwang, Bagar, and Naura no longer have to take a long route to reach the center of the Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality in Muna.


Although the contract had set the completion deadline for December 2025, the construction company finished the work ahead of schedule and handed it over to the infrastructure office, bringing the bridge into operation.
