Sumana Shrestha to resign as RSP Joint General Secretary

Sumana Shrestha has decided to resign from her position as Joint General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

KATHMANDU, April 17: Sumana Shrestha has decided to resign from her position as Joint General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).



According to RSP’s Acting Spokesperson, Manish Jha, Shrestha is expected to tender her resignation during the party’s central committee meeting scheduled for 3 PM today.

Previously, on the same day Rabi Lamichhane was reinstated as the party chairman, Shrestha had proposed her resignation from the post of Joint General Secretary.


She is stepping down in line with the party’s “one person, one position” policy, Jha added.
