Student union pelts stone in Nepali Congress’s intra party debate

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: A debate between Krishna Prasad Sitaula and founding faction of Nepal Students Union turned nasty in the secretariat meeting of Nepali Congress at Sanepa. Following a debate, the two groups pelted stones at one another.

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: A debate between Krishna Prasad Sitaula and founding faction of Nepal Students Union turned nasty in the secretariat meeting of Nepali Congress at Sanepa. Following a debate, the two groups pelted stones at one another.



In order to contain the situation, the police baton charged at the protesters. The founding faction of the Nepali Congress’s sister wing has proposed to restrict youth leaders above 32 years while the Sitaula faction is against it.

Likewise, journalist Keshab Saud was injured when he was caught in the baton charge by police.
