KATHMANDU, July 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the public to remain cautious, stating that the water levels of rivers, including the Trishuli River, have risen. He called on everyone to “stay safe and help keep others safe” by staying informed and taking necessary precautions.



"There have been reports of rising water levels in the Trishuli River and other rivers. Let’s pay attention to the information provided by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and take necessary precautions," Oli wrote on Facebook. "Let’s stay in touch with the security agencies, personnel, and volunteers listed by the National Disaster Reduction Management Authority for emergency contact."

He stated that the government has placed the National Disaster Reduction and Management Authority on high alert for rescue efforts related to weather-induced disasters. He added that volunteers from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, and Nepal Police have been deployed with necessary equipment and rescue tools.
