PATAN, June 11: As part of the Jya Punhi celebrations, the royal throne of King Srinivasa Malla was displayed in front of the historic Krishna Temple at Patan Durbar Square on Tuesday. The annual tradition draws devotees, culture enthusiasts and photographers alike, offering a rare glimpse into the regal past of the Malla era.

Each year on Jya Punhi, the throne is ceremoniously brought out from the Patan Museum at Mangal Bazaar, continuing a centuries-old ritual. The public display honors King Srinivasa Malla, one of the most revered monarchs of the Patan kingdom.
