Special Court orders release of Sunil Paudel on Rs 100,000 bail

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: The Special Court has ordered the release of Sunil Paudel, former Executive Director of the National Information Technology Center, on a bail of Rs 100,000. He faces charges of serial corruption.



The bench, chaired by Teknarayan Kunwar with members Muraribabu Shrestha and Bidur Koirala, set the bail amount at Rs 100,000.

Paudel is accused of embezzling around Rs 1.6 million during his tenure at the National Information Technology Center. However, he will not be immediately released, as prior corruption cases have already led to previous detention orders against him.
