LAMJUNG, Sept 14: Seven people were injured when a Bolero jeep met with an accident in Dordi Rural Municipality, Lamjung, on Sunday morning after its brakes failed.
According to police, the jeep numbered (Ba 1 Ja 7555), en route to Besisahar from Taje, lost control and crashed into a roadside wall at Dhungekhola (Chotekhola) in Dordi-6 at around 9:30 AM.
Jeep accident claims driver’s life in Lamjung

Inspector Raj Kishor Shah of the District Police Office, Lamjung, said police, with the help of locals, rescued the injured immediately after the accident.
All the injured are residents of Dordi-6. They were taken to the Provincial Hospital, Lamjung, for treatment. Among them, Maiti Kumari Tamang, 44, Lal Bahadur Tamang, 58, and Nabindra Ghale, 23, are reported to be in moderate condition, having sustained head, hand, and back injuries. The condition of the other four is said to be minor.
Police have taken the driver into custody, while the damaged jeep remains at the accident site. Further investigation is underway.
