Supreme Court (SC) has ordered not to arrest actor Shilpa Pokhrel immediately who has been charged of polygamy. A single bench of Cholendra Shumsher JBR, chief justice of SC on Sunday, ordered not to arrest Shilpa.

Hema Ojha, film maker Chhabi Ojha’s first wife lodged a case of polygamy against Chabbi and Shilpa at Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala last July. Shilpa went to High Court at Patan after the court issued an arrest warrant against her. However, Patan District Court rejected the appeal to halt the arrest warrant. Then, she went to SC.
According to a source, SC has asked both parties to be present in court on September 1. Shilpa had filed a case of domestic violence against Chhabi. However, later the case was settled in their understanding.
