On Tuesday, advocates Bishal Thapa, Pratibha Upreti, and Anantaraj Luintel filed a writ petition demanding the annulment of Paudel’s appointment. They claimed that Paudel lacked the expertise required by the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 BS, yet was appointed Governor.
The petitioners demand the annulment of Paudel’s appointment, arguing that officials illegally recommended, appointed, and administered the oath to Paudel as governor.
