KATHMANDU, June 3: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to host a grand political convention to mark its founding day. The party's secretariat decided during a meeting held on Monday, according to acting spokesperson Manish Jha.
The party appointed Deputy General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya as the coordinator of the organizing committee for the event. It also planned to celebrate the founding day with various programs across provinces, districts, and local levels.
RSP seeks explanation from General Secretary Dhakal

RSP concluded that authorities filed a false case against party president Rabi Lamichhane over alleged misappropriation of cooperative funds, maintaining that he had no involvement in the matter.
During the meeting, provincial in-charges Santosh Pariyar (Koshi), Manish Jha (Madhesh), Lima Adhikari (Bagmati), Shishir Khanal (Gandaki), Bipin Kumar Acharya (Lumbini), Ganesh Parajuli (Karnali), and Hari Dhakal (Sudurpaschim) briefed the party on the current situation in their respective provinces.
