RPP pays Rs 100,000 fine slapped by Kathmandu Metropolitan City

The metropolis had fined the RPP for causing physical damage and littering in public areas including near the Tribhuvan International Airport gate, Tilganga, Gaushala, and other places during the welcome rally of the former king Gyanendra Shah on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, March 10: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has paid a fine of Rs 100,000 to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).



House of Representatives’ member and spokesperson for RPP Gyanendra Shahi, and others reached KMC on Monday and paid the fine.

Shahi, sharing a photo of paying the fine, wrote, “We, the RPP, believe in good governance and the rule of law. Millions of parents, brothers, and sisters who came to welcome the former king may have stepped on the road. We accept the decision of the KMC and we have deposited Rs 100,000 in its account.”


The metropolis had fined the RPP for causing physical damage and littering in public areas including near the Tribhuvan International Airport gate, Tilganga, Gaushala, and other places during the welcome rally of the former king Gyanendra Shah on Sunday.


RPP and its supporters welcomed Shah when he arrived at Tribhuvan Airport from Pokhara on Sunday afternoon.
