KATHMANDU, July 19: Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (MoLJPA) is set to frame the Regulation as per the Transitional Justice Act.
Though the transitional justice related Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission for Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) have received office-bearers, works have not progressed due to the inability to formulate rules as per the Act.

'The government is continuously working to bring the process of transitional justice to a conclusion,' Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya told RSS. 'We have intensified the work to formulate regulation as per the Act', he informed.
The Commission for Investigation of Disappeared Persons, and Truth, and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Act, 2081 BS has already been implemented. Officials from both commissions have started performing their jobs.
Minister Chaurasiya said drafts of the to-be-formulated regulation are being prepared as per the amendments to the Act. The Ministry of Law has formulated and issued the Commission for Investigation of Disappeared Persons, and Truth, and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Act, 2081 BS, Legislation Act, 2081 BS, and District Court (Third Amendment) Rules, 2081 BS in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
The MoLJPA has given theoretical agreement on the concept notes of 19 bills from various ministries, agreement on the draft of 17 bills, and for amendment of 13 laws.
Similarly, it has provided agreement on the draft of six ordinances, 13 new regulations, and on the amendment of 23 regulations.
