KATHMANDU, July 2: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has stated that the monsoon system is currently active across the country, with the monsoon trough positioned near its average location. As a result, most areas are likely to experience light rainfall today (Wednesday).
The sky is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the country. Many places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, including hilly regions, may witness light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Heavy rain likely in some parts of the country
According to the DHM, one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces may receive heavy rainfall.
Likewise, some high, hilly, and mountainous areas are likely to experience light to moderate rain and snowfall.
