Rabi Lamichhane diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency after jail time

Dr Yadav added that Lamichhane has been taking medication for high blood pressure for some time. His current blood pressure is normal and other health parameters are also within normal limits.

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been found to have a mild vitamin D deficiency. Dr Jitendra Yadav, a medicine specialist at the National Trauma Center involved in his treatment, confirmed that blood tests conducted on Monday revealed the deficiency.

Dr Yadav added that Lamichhane has been taking medication for high blood pressure for some time. His current blood pressure is normal and other health parameters are also within normal limits.


Following concerns about his health, doctors from the National Trauma Center examined Lamichhane on Monday. He was transferred from Butwal Prison to Kathmandu’s Nakkhu jail due to health consideration.
