Prakash Saput to release Teej song ‘Nai Bhanesi Nai’ against gender violence

KATHMANDU, July 19: Popular singer Prakash Saput has announced the release of his upcoming Teej song titled ‘Nai Bhanesi Nai’. The announcement was made on Saturday through a poster published on his official Facebook page.



Quoting a well-wisher's message, Saput wrote, “Dear Prakash, music is your root, and storytelling through it is your strength.” He further reflected on the advice, adding, “Spreading branches is good, but one must stay connected to the roots and not lose their essence.”

He went on to say, “Taking this heartfelt suggestion from many well-wishers to heart, we are bringing a voice to this Teej through ‘Nai Bhanesi Nai’. Be ready to add your voice to ours.”

Based on the title and the visual tone of the poster, the song is expected to raise a strong voice against gender-based violence, continuing Saput’s tradition of socially conscious music.
