KATHMANDU, Sept 25: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 12 construction companies for failing to complete projects in line with their contract agreements.
Based on recommendations from various government offices, one company has been barred from participating in public procurement for one and a half years, while the remaining 11 face a one-year ban.
PPMO blacklists 33 construction companies
Punargiri Construction Service of Dadeldhura has been blacklisted for one and a half years following a recommendation from Bageshwar Rural Municipality. Similarly, U & I Himchuli JV—comprising Himal Construction Service and U & I Construction Service of Dolpa—has been banned for one year on the recommendation of the Nepalgunj Road Division.
In another case, Bhumi Infrastructure and Himalayan Infrastructure of Biratnagar, operated by Bhavesh Bohora and Bibesh Karki respectively, were blacklisted for a year after failing to complete a project in Buddhashanti Rural Municipality, Jhapa.
The other companies blacklisted for one year are Durga Construction Service of Bardiya, Manakamana Construction of Nuwakot, Rajesh Construction Service of Banke, RT Construction Service of Sunsari, Deepjyoti Construction Service of Siraha, Nyasa Construction & Suppliers of Gulmi, and Sahayogi Contractors & Trading of Palpa.
