BARA, JULY 3: A powerful explosion occurred on Wednesday night at the Jagadamba Steel Industry located in Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City, Bara. The explosion took place around 9:15 PM in the industry’s furnace used for melting iron.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Prakash Joshi, chief of the Area Police Office, Simara, one Indian worker was injured in the blast, as claimed by the industry’s administration.

Following the incident, a police team immediately reached the site, and efforts are underway to assess the damage caused by the explosion. The loud blast was reportedly heard from a significant distance, alarming the surrounding areas.
Tensions escalated after the blast, with locals surrounding the factory, suspecting that the actual casualties could be much higher than officially stated. Ambulances and fire engines have been deployed outside the premises.
Despite the industry's claim of only one injury, locals are skeptical and have demanded transparency regarding the incident. Observing the nature of the explosion and the aftermath, they fear multiple workers may have been harmed.
Police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
