KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The government has appointed chairpersons of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC).
According to the Ministry of Finance, Hemant Basyal has been appointed as the chief of NEPSE and Surendra Poudel has been selected to lead NRIC. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Friday appointed the duo for the positions of the two entities.

Basyal has worked as the chief executive officer of Infrastructure and Development Company. Similarly, NRIC chairperson Poudel has worked as the general manager of Hetauda Cement and managing director of Nepal Oil Corporation.
