KATHMANDU, Sept 11: With the Gen Z movement unanimously backing former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the next prime minister, all eyes are now on the upcoming tripartite talks, which many expect to deliver a decisive breakthrough.
President Ramchandra Paudel, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel and former Chief Justice Sushila Karki are set to sit together for discussions. The talks come at a time of political vacuum, drawing widespread attention. Political parties have been issuing separate appeals, urging for a concrete resolution.
Three-tier elections must for avoiding political vacuum: Nepal

Within the Gen Z movement as well, hopes are high that the tripartite talks will pave the way for a settlement. However, the growing involvement of controversial figures such as medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, recently associated with royalist sentiments, and Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang has drawn objections from sections of the Gen Z group.
Civil society has expressed cautious optimism, emphasizing that any resolution should safeguard democratic values while ensuring a fair and inclusive decision.
