BANKE, Aug 15: Police opened fire to apprehend four individuals involved in the trafficking of brown heroin at the bus park of Nepalgunj Municipality.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Bahadur Gharti at the District Police Office, Banke, two suspects were initially pursued and arrested on Friday. The remaining two attempted to flee while throwing stones at police, prompting officers to fire two rounds.
Two Indian drug traffickers arrested

“Based on information about drug trafficking, we were tracking two suspects, but four individuals were present at the scene,” DSP Gharti said. After detaining the first two, the other two resisted arrest by throwing stones, forcing police to fire their weapons.
The arrested include Aman Sah , 22, and Bhaijan Ansari, 26, both residents of Nepalgunj-5, as well as Ajay Kumar, 20, from Bahraich, India, and Kartik Kumar, 20. Kartik Kumar sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg.
Additionally, one police officer was injured by a brick thrown by the suspects and has been sent to a local hospital for treatment, the District Police Office said.
