KATHMANDU, May 6: The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) has unveiled the South Asian Artist Residency Program 2025 exhibition, showcasing the unique works created by visiting artists from Nepal and the Maldives. The artists, who spent a month immersed in Pakistan's rich cultural and geographical diversity, have captured their experiences in a compelling collection of artworks.

The exhibition, which officially opened today, was inaugurated by a distinguished panel of dignitaries, including Emmanuel R. Fernandez, Ambassador of the Philippines; Mrs. Rita Dhital, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan; Aishath Yasmeen, Head of Mission from the Maldives; Chen Peng, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China;  Shahnawaz, Director (South Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and M. Ayoub Jamali, Director General of PNCA. Mariam Ahmed, the coordinator and curator of the exhibition, also played a key role in bringing the event to life.

The exhibition features a diverse range of artworks that reflect the artists' journey through Pakistan's historic cities, such as Lahore, the coastal beauty of Karachi, and the majestic northern region of Skardu. Each piece offers a unique interpretation of Pakistan's landscapes, cultural vibrancy, and historical significance, bringing to life the essence of the country through the eyes of international artists.
