KATHMANDU, May 29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Republic Day.
"This is the day the people broke through royal suppression and wrote history. It is the day when the country's interests took precedence over the crown, the day citizens' dignity triumphed over the arrogance of the throne, and the day the people achieved a republic through seven decades of sacrifice and struggle," Prime Minister Oli wrote on the social media platform, Facebook.
NC extends greetings on Republic Day
"On the glorious occasion of Republic Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Nepali brothers and sisters living in the country and abroad. Jai-Jai-Jai Nepal!"
The nation is celebrating the 18th Republic Day today with various programs across the country.
