KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that skilled personnel working in the Information Technology (IT) sector will now be eligible for a monthly salary of up to Rs 200,000. He shared the information via social media on Thursday morning.

“The government has arranged a salary of up to Rs 200,000 for skilled professionals working in the IT sector. This initiative will help reduce delays, bribery and commission-taking in the delivery of online government services, while also preventing the migration of IT talent abroad. It will also make cost estimates for software system development more realistic. This is a positive step for our IT-educated workforce,” the Prime Minister stated.
