PHOTO FEATURE: Record-holding climber Tashi Gyalsen Sherpa receives hero’s welcome at TIA

Tashi Gyalsen Sherpa, a 29-year-old climber from Khumbu, received a rousing welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday morning after achieving a remarkable mountaineering feat—scaling Mount Everest four times in 15 days.

KATHMANDU, May 27: Tashi Gyalsen Sherpa, a 29-year-old climber from Khumbu, received a rousing welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday morning after achieving a remarkable mountaineering feat—scaling Mount Everest four times in 15 days.



His face beams with pride and exhaustion after completing his fourth ascent at 3:13 AM on Friday.
