KATHMANDU, May 28: A protest unfolded at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Wednesday as activists rallied against the killing of Keshav Rao 'Basavaraju,' the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). The demonstration, organized under the banner of the National Revolutionary Front, echoed with strong anti-India slogans, expressing solidarity with the slain leader.

The protesters carried banners and placards reading ‘Lal Salam Com. Basavraju’, ‘Fight imperialism with internationalism’, ‘Down with fascist Modi government’ , ‘Down with Indian expansionism’ condemning the operation that resulted in the death of 27 Maoist leaders and activists, including 'Basavaraju,' in Narayanpur, located on the border of Chhattisgarh and Telangana states in India.
