KATHMANDU, May 6: With boots in the water and tools in hand, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has launched an ambitious river cleanup campaign, beginning with the Bishnumati River.
Under the leadership of the metropolis' Environment Management Department, workers affiliated with the Labor Bank of Kathmandu Metropolitan City have stepped directly into the river to remove waste, overgrown weeds, fallen trees and other debris obstructing the water flow.
