Oppn lawmakers walk out as PM Oli addresses HoR

As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the commencement of the session, RSP lawmakers stood up from their seats to register their protest.

KATHMANDU, June 28: The lawmakers belonging to the opposition parties Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) staged a protest in the House of Representatives (HoR) at the very beginning of today's meeting.



As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the commencement of the session, RSP lawmakers stood up from their seats to register their protest.

In response, Speaker Ghimire allowed RSP lawmaker Ganesh Parajuli and RPP lawmaker Roshan Karki to express their views. Parajuli demanded an investigation into the visit visa scandal, a call echoed by Karki.


Soon after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli began his address, lawmakers from both the opposition parties walked out of the meeting. He went to the podium to inform about his official visit to Spain to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development of the United Nations (FFD-4). 


PM Oli is set to pay a visit at the friendly invitation of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for the FFD-4 to be held in Seville, Spain, from June 30 to July 3.
