KATHMANDU, April 11: Police have arrested Pradeep Panta, 29, of Sainamaina Municipality-11 in Rupandehi, on charges of threatening Surya Thapa, a central member of the CPN-UML, through SMS.
Panta allegedly sent the threat late at night. After the arrest, Thapa took to Facebook to thank Nepal Police for taking swift action and launching an investigation. He also shared documents revealing Panta's identity.

"Thanks to Nepal Police for arresting the individual who sent me a threatening SMS at midnight (11:46 pm) that read, 'Life on threat cancel Rupandehi,' and for moving forward with the investigation. Who is he? Have a look!" Thapa wrote.
