KATHMANDU, July 14: Om Vedic Foundation (OVF) was formally inaugurated on Saturday in Kathmandu, aiming to promote a spiritual lifestyle by integrating Vedic knowledge, Sanatan philosophy and modern science.
According to a press release issued by the OVF, its objective is to foster a prosperous and balanced society through the development of a spiritual economy rooted in Vedic principles. It plans to establish a world-class educational and research center in Nepal focused on social transformation, holistic well-being, and the scientific study of Vedic traditions.
Addressing the event, CEO Devaraj Gautam outlined the Foundation’s goals and emphasized the scientific relevance of astrology, sound waves and natural healing. Other speakers, including experts in wellness, tantra, and traditional medicine, highlighted how Vedic practices can be understood and applied through a scientific lens.
A science and spiritual amalgamation

Former DIG Ramesh Kharel stressed the role of Vedic ethics in achieving social reform and equality, while medical and scientific professionals presented insights on the connections between spirituality and physical health.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Rabina Gorkhali Banepali, Chairperson of the OVF, who acknowledged the contributions of guests, volunteers and supporters.
