Prime Minister Oli said that the current government has prioritized stability, development, good governance, social justice, and social transformation with the national aspiration of a ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

Deputy Prime Minister Peters praised Nepal's efforts toward development and prosperity and emphasized the need for cooperation on issues of common interest for small nations in international forums.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present during the meeting. The relationship between Nepal and New Zealand has grown closer, particularly because of the historic first successful ascent of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953, by Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay and New Zealand’s Edmund Hillary.
