During the meeting, NHRC Chairperson Tap Bahadur Magar instructed security officials to uphold law and order while embracing core human rights principles. The NHRC also deployed several monitoring teams to observe the protest from a human rights perspective.

Magar urged protesters to exercise their rights to freedom of expression and opinion within the framework of the Constitution and both national and international laws. He also appealed to them to refrain from using disrespectful language and to conduct the protest peacefully.

The NHRC called on the government and security agencies to assess possible security threats and implement appropriate measures while adhering to human rights standards.

Chief district officers and police chiefs assured the commission that they had coordinated security efforts across all agencies in the valley. They said they had taken steps to prevent any clashes between opposing groups by ensuring the groups would not cross paths. Authorities have increased security at sensitive sites, including media offices, and have introduced strategies to protect citizens and maintain smooth traffic flow.
